How do I pay for MEKS classes?
It's easy to log in to your MEKS Parent Portal account and pay via credit or debit card. You also have the option of saving your card on file digitally so payments can be automatically processed. We also accept credit or debit cards, cash, checks and money orders at the front desk. Payments for all classes are due on the first of the month.
What should my child wear for class?
Athletes can wear leotards or step ins, but they are not required for recreational classes. If they prefer, they can wear shorts or leggings and a t-shirt or tank top. Make sure they wear something comfortable that won't constrict movement, is not too baggy and is without zippers, hooks or other embellishments that may cause injury. They will go barefoot in class unless they are a cheerleader taking tumbling classes who prefers to wear cheer shoes (that are only worn for the sport).
Do you have classes for boys?
YES! All our Parent & Tot and Pre-School and Tumbling classes are co-ed. We also have an offering of Flip & Flex classes designed just for boys, where we focus on strength, agility, flexibility, obstacle courses and tumbling.
What are your term dates?
MEKS classes bill monthly. You are not obligated for more than a month of classes at any time. Once enrolled, we assume your child will continue on unless you stop at the desk and cancel lessons two weeks before the next month. Once billed, class fees are non-refundable.
How are your coaches trained?
All of our coaches follow a standard curriculum designed to help gymnasts learn progressively. All coaches go through an extensive training process and most have been gymnasts in the past. We offer on-going training to ensure all coaches are up-to-date on the newest information and training techniques. We are very lucky to have an amazing team of coaches with excellent teaching experience as well as gymnastics skills.
Can we still join your classes after the term has started?
Classes are billed monthly and you may start at any time. There's no need to wait for the beginning of another session. We will simply pro-rate your fees if you start classes in the middle of the month.
Can parents watch?
We are currently limiting visitors to one adult per gymnast under the age of 5 while COVID is still an issue. You may also request video access and watch from wherever you'd like! We have cameras in all areas of the gym, so you'll be able to see all your gymnast's activities.
What is your ratio of coaches to children?
Our Parent & Tot and Pre-School class ratio is 1:6. Our gymnastics and tumbling class ratio is 1:8.
